About Meat Church

A Central Texas visit gave Matt Pittman a defining barbecue reference: salt-and-pepper brisket with enough clarity to change his direction. That experience became the first important turn in the Meat Church narrative.

Cooking with Grandma June in Alabama gave Matt Pittman an early standard: keep food simple and make it taste great. Backyard cookouts provided a place to practice, competitions raised the stakes, and BBQ Pitmasters widened the view. When he moved into blends, Meat Church Holy Cow became Matt Pittman's first rub.

Education and seasoning meet inside the Meat Church community. When a new method needs a clear first reference, turn to the Learn guidesbefore the next fire is lit. Meat Church uses that instruction, alongside its seasonings, to help barbecue lovers cook with greater purpose.

Matt Pittman's life beyond the pit is in Texas with Tracie, his wife, and their four kids, where cooking remains part of the household rhythm.
